WRH500 series

The WRH 500 series is a 8 persons versatile Work Boat.

This boat is generally used for survey and rescue operations and is suitable for the professional market. The Work Boat has excellent reliability, manoeuvrability and seakeeping abilities in order to fulfil its prime function, to provide an effective operation at sea. Design and construction fulfil the need for launching and recovery to  a slipway and for reliable, low maintenance  stand-by and operation. The lay-out and performance of the boat allows it to perform other roles than survey operations including dive support, inspection, patrol and work boat duties. The boats are deployed in the Oil and Gas offshore industry, Rescue Organisations as well for Government missions.

Built to Perform, Customized for Duty

The WRH550 is a professional-grade workboat engineered for durability and speed.

Built with a glass fiber reinforced polyester hull using fire-retardant resins, it features heavy-duty ORCA 866 Neoprene-Hypalon tubes. Every metal component—from the console and self-righting frame to the fuel tank—is crafted from sea-water resistant coated aluminum or SS 316 stainless steel for maximum longevity. Designed for rapid response, the WRH550 delivers impressive performance:

  • 30 knots with 4 persons on board.

  • 15 knots at full 12-person capacity.

  • Precision Handling: Optimized via recommended hydraulic steering.

This 5.00–6.00m vessel is fully customizable to your fleet’s identity, with hulls and tubes available in any color. For seamless deployment, it offers an optional 12V electrical system and a 4-leg lifting sling for easy ship-to-sea launching.

Superior Hull Engineering & Construction

The WRH550 is built upon a high-performance, fully planing deep-V hull, specifically engineered for stability and speed. Featuring integrated spray rails and a reverse chine, the design ensures a dry ride and optimum seakeeping ability across all sea conditions.

The foundation of this Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) is a heavy-duty, glass fiber reinforced hull, built to the strictest maritime specifications.

  • Reinforced Core: The keel is outfitted with extra reinforcements to withstand high-impact forces.

  • Fire-Retardant Materials: Constructed using fire-retardant polyester resin and balanced layers of E-Glass fabrics for maximum structural integrity.

  • Monocoque Strength: The hull and deck are fused into a single, high-strength unit, with internal chambers filled with buoyancy foam for added safety.

Operational safety is built into the architecture. The vessel is self-bailing, utilizing a deck height that sits above the waterline. This allows water to drain naturally even when the boat is stationary, ensuring the crew remains safe and focused on the mission.

Customized options and length

Every WRH550 is built under the rigorous ISO 9001 quality management system developed by Work Ribs Holland.

While this specific model is not SOLAS/MED certified, it is manufactured with the exact same MED Module D accuracy and care as our certified fleet. This ensures that every boat leaves the shipyard ready for immediate, high-stakes operation.

Precision Lifting System

For seamless vessel deployment, the WRH550 features a dedicated 4-leg lifting arrangement:

  • Reinforced Integrity: The polyester hull is specifically strengthened around the lifting eyes to distribute forces evenly.

  • Certified Safety: Every boat is supplied with a certified lifting sling, precision-dimensioned to ensure a perfectly horizontal lift during ship-to-sea operations.

Deck equipment

The WRH550 is a high-performance utility craft built to the same ISO 9001 and MED Module D standards as our certified fleet.

Its fully planing deep-V hull, featuring spray rails and a 40° reverse chine, ensures a dry, stable ride and elite seakeeping in all sea conditions. Constructed from fire-retardant polyester with a reinforced keel and a self-bailing deck, the hull and deck function as a single, indestructible unit. The vessel is protected by ORCA Neoprene-Hypalon tubes, divided into five independent chambers for maximum reliability. These tubes provide industry-leading resistance to chemicals, UV, and abrasion, finished with a heavy-duty rubbing strake and integrated lifelines.

Designed for a crew of 4 and up to 12 persons, the layout prioritizes total situational awareness. The aft-positioned console gives the skipper a maximum overview of operations, while the 150 hp outboard capability delivers speeds up to 30 knots.

  • Mission Ready: Equipped with a 120L aluminum fuel tank, a storage-ready bow box, and a self-righting frame for navigation lights and radar reflectors.

  • Rapid Deployment: Featuring a reinforced 4-leg lifting arrangement for perfectly balanced horizontal launches and three heavy-duty towing eyes.
